Captain Cook Cruises and Sea Life Sydney Aquarium have joined forces to create the Ultimate Sydney Marine Life Combo, a fun-filled day for lovers of marine life. The Ultimate Sydney Marine Life Combo package includes a visit to the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium and a Whale Watching Cruise, two of Sydney’s top tourist attractions.
Organisers say that before embarking on one of the Captain Cook Cruises to experience the joy of seeing whales in the wild, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about whale migration at the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium’s onsite activity hub. While at the aquarium, visitors will come within inches of huge sharks, rays and turtles and see some of Australia’s most remarkable marine and freshwater animals.
To the headlands and beyond
After exploring the aquarium, visitors will then board one of Sydney’s Captain Cook Cruises to see whales at play, splashing about in Sydney Harbour. The excitement onboard the boat starts when passengers are ferried from Circular Quay past the Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison and Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs before passing through the headlands and out in the open ocean.
It’s in the open ocean that the excitement begins as humpbacks are spotted visiting Sydney’s coastline as part of their annual migration. Captain Cook Cruises offers every passenger a whale guarantee; if a whale is not spotted, passengers can cruise again for free.
Whale-watching cruises are operated on the ocean-going catamarans, Maggie Cat and the new Nancy Wake, both equipped with two passenger decks and spacious indoor and outdoor viewing areas, including an all-weather lounge. The Sea Life Aquarium and Whale Watching Cruise combo costs $99 per adult and $69 per child.
