Hong Kong Disneyland will be opening the doors to its brand new hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge, offering guests a place to relax and unwind after a day of adventure and exploration.
Set to open 30 April, the new hotel is dedicated to the spirit of exploration, and its motto is ‘ad explorare et somniare’, meaning ‘to explore and dream’, and is designed and decorated based on four unique cultures and the tropical climates of Asia, Oceania, South America and Africa.
Featuring exotic, culturally-inspired furnishings, views across distinctly landscaped tropical gardens, and a large swimming pool overlooking the South China Sea, the hotel is designed to evoke a sense of discovery, through an enchanting atmosphere and exotic nature.
The hotel’s three restaurants encompass Dragon Wind, offering authentic Chinese and Cantonese cuisine, World of Colour Restaurant with food from cultures across the seas, and Chart Room Café offering a more casual and relaxed dining experience.
Guests staying at the Disney Explorers Lodge Hotel will also receive a Priority Admission Pass to at least one park attraction, including the new Iron Man Experience. Launched earlier this year, the first ever Marvel-themed ride is a high-flying adventure in Tomorrowland, where visitors can explore Stark Industries innovations, meet Iron Man and try on his armour virtually, before boarding a special Expo-edition Iron Wing flight vehicle, and with StarkVision glasses, they can soar through the streets of Hong Kong battling the evil forces of Hydra with Iron Man.
“Hong Kong Disneyland spent over three years designing and creating the Iron Man Experience complete with flight simulators, 3-D projection, surround sound and other special effects, and the response to the new attraction has been fantastic,” The Walt Disney Company head of travel and business development AU/NZ David Clark says.
Hong Kong Disneyland features seven themed lands and guests can download the official mobile app to keep up to date on all the latest excitement, including entertainment schedules, opening hours, location of Disney characters, reservation platform for one of the many dining establishments, and a GPS-enabled map for easy navigation of the park.
