Italian shipping company, MSC Cruises has announced that it will build two, luxe €1.6 billion ‘next-generation’ ships in its celebrated Meraviglia class.

Oozing with understated glamour, the new class of vessels will not only increase its tonnage and overall size with a total of 2,444 cabins and 8,000 passengers and crew, but the ships will also slice through the sun-bleached Mediterranean Sea by 2020, joining the MSC Meraviglia, which will sail its inaugural season commencing June 2017.

A floating palace with unique public spaces and cutting-edge designed features, the two Meraviglia-Plus ships will feature the first and only classic and contemporary fine art museum at sea. Meraviglia will be the 14th ship in the fleet, with the company the world’s largest privately owned cruise line.
