The biggest food truck festival Melbourne has ever seen will be held in the heart of the CBD in Birrarung Marr from Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 May.
The Food Truck Park directors who are throwing the festival, Frank Rusitovski and Dean Trpeski, will be taking their festival to the next level with a range of gourmet food trucks from North, East, South and West Melbourne.
“We’re excited to be bringing the biggest food truck festival to the heart of Melbourne – this great space will facilitate the largest line up yet of Melbourne’s greatest food trucks ever seen,” says Rusitovski.
In addition to delicious food, craft beverages, amazing local art and exciting family entertainment will make this five-day festival even better.
“Over the last four years, having created some of Melbourne’s biggest food events, our team are looking to make this one the biggest yet, and we hope that it becomes a part of Melbourne’s major events calendar,” says Rusitovski.
With over 40 food trucks, there will be a variety of delicious choices for everyone, including cheese, fried chicken, tacos, Asian, and vegan options.
“We Melburnians love our food: we are regarded nationally and internationally as the culinary capital of Australia,” Melbourne Acting Lord Mayor Arron Wood says.
“Our city has embraced the food truck phenomenon with open arms and I’m sure The Food Truck Festival will attract crowds of salivating diners to Birrarung Marr this May.”
The Food Truck Festival is a free entry event and will run from 4pm-10pm Wednesday 2 to Thursday 3 May and 11am-10pm Friday 4 to Sunday 6 May.
