Highly acclaimed Australian chef and restauranteur, Luke Mangan, is set to board the Eastern & Oriental Express train and showcase his internationally renowned culinary offerings, as part of a new partnership with luxury travel group Belmond.
Expanding his Salt grill restaurant experience from on shore and at sea, to the tracks, Luke and his team will join the luxury train’s Executive Chef, Yannis Martineau, as they serve up their signature clean and contemporary menus.
Speaking of the partnership, Luke says: “My team and I are absolutely thrilled to have partnered with Eastern & Oriental Express and we are looking forward to ensuring our customers have access to the best food and beverage experiences around the world.”
The three-day, two-night journey will take place on 28 October 2016, leaving from Singapore and travelling through Malaysia and Thailand, commencing in Bangkok.
In Singapore, guests can join Luke for a morning tour of the exotic food market and once on board, Luke will meet with guests and host a book signing of his latest book, ‘Salt Grill, Fine Dining for the whole family’.
As Asia’s most luxurious train, the elegant green and gold Eastern & Oriental Express features en-suite air-conditioned cabins with two dining cars, where guests can enjoy Luke’s specially created menu, a lively bar car and an outdoor observation car from which to enjoy the scenic landscapes of South East Asia.
