For the first time ever, film fans of The Lord of the Rings can explore the faraway lands of their favourite trilogy with an exclusive overnight stay at the original Hobbiton Movie Set in New Zealand.
The one-and-only Hobbiton has been listed exclusively on Airbnb for fans to stay overnight. And just in time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Nestled in the picturesque pastures of New Zealand’s Waikato region on a 2,500-acre working farm, the property’s rolling, green hills are the same ones that captivated director Peter Jackson’s movie scouts more than two decades ago.
Live like Bilbo Baggins
Owner Russell Alexander is inviting guests to his family’s property to live like Bilbo Baggins and retreat to The Shire for an overnight stay at Hobbiton. Guests will be welcomed to the New Zealand countryside with iconic storybook landscapes as seen in The Lord of the Rings. And with access to 44 Hobbit Holes, The Millhouse, The Green Dragon Inn, and other beloved locations from the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. Taking guests on an unexpected journey into Middle-earth for an experience unlike any other.
