London’s Chelsea Flower Show is one of the world’s biggest, hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society. This year, the Great Pavillion will showcase an entirely planted-up train station, including a 25-metre-long carriage from the glamorous 1920s Belmond British Pullman (sister train to the legendary Orient-Express). A botanical installation set against the backdrop of the days of The Black Dahlia, the train station exhibit will nurture plants, rare jungle ferns, spectacular stems and exotic floral wonders. A great way to experience the Show is on Collette’s ‘Gardens of London’ tour, which includes attending the members only opening day. The tour also includes visits to the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Savill Garden in Windsor and Hampton Court Palace.
