Back to the 80s: Laneways by Ovolo opens in Melbourne

If you’re an 80s fan, get set for a wave of nostalgia. Meet Laneways by Ovolo, an eclectic inner-city stay infused with rebel spirit set to debut in mid-November.

Found deep within the tangled laneways of Melbourne, the boutique designer hotel will offer a big personality. Tailored to the weekend adventurer and corporate crusaders, the 42 Memphis-inspired rooms give a nod to Melbourne’s paint-splashed streets. Brought back to life by Australian interior designers, Luchetti Krelle.

A Laneway by Ovolo experience

If you’re a foodie you’ll love the Amphlett House. The all-new 120-seat taphouse will serve exceptional drinks and elevated pub classics, with a focus on quality Victorian produce. Ovolo’s Group Creative Culinary Director Ian Curley will oversee the venture. With support from head chef Ben Green, previous executive chef at multi-site Gather and Gather in London.

In a city flourishing with cuisine, culture and curiosity, there’s never been a better place for a walk down memory lane.
