Air travel can wreak havoc on skin; the lack of humidity in the cabin saps moisture, leaving skin tight, uncomfortable and dry. Throw a couple of dehydrating mid-air wines in the mix and your complexion has no hope of looking or feeling its best upon arrival.
The key to reaching your destination with plump and glowing skin is to stay hydrated – by both drinking lots of water up in the air, and by moisturising before and during the flight. Luxury skincare brand La Prairie is now helping travellers at Sydney International Airport kickstart their pre-flight beauty routines with a new initiative called The Art of Luxury; a range of express counter treatments and private 30-minute facials at the Departures terminal.
In what is a world-first, La Prairie has teamed up with Heinemann Australia to help travellers indulge in a luxury treatment without the need to be in a special lounge or have a certain number of frequent flyer points.
“We are bringing a unique immersive experience to Sydney Airport to allow guests to select either a luxury treatment in a private suite, or an express service that can be performed on-counter,” says La Prairie Managing Director Australia and New Zealand, Rosi Fernandez.
The Luxury Treatment includes a 10-minute consult and 20-minute facial in a private beauty suite, with a deep cleanse, facial massage and application of La Prairie products to ensure skin is flight-ready.
The four 10-minute Express Services include: The Art of Perfection, Instant Eye Revive, Complexion Application and Skin Caviar Hand and Arm Massage.
The Art of Luxury will be available until September 2019 at Sydney International Airport Departures. Treatments and services can be pre-booked at laprairie.com.
