Korea Grand Sale kicks off Visit Korea Year

To celebrate the launch of ‘Visit Korea Year 2016-2018’, Korea has kicked off its Korea Grand Sale event, taking place around the country until the end of this month.

Coinciding with the Lunar New Year when many Asians will be visiting Korea during the holiday from 8-10 February, the sale campaign will aim to attract 20 million foreign tourists to Korea, revitalising both tourism and domestic economy.

The Korea Grand Sale will offer tourists many special benefits, such as the Buy One, Get One (BOGO) deal on ‘K-Travel Bus’, a bus travel package to visit a variety of cities outside of the capital Seoul, accommodation offers including discounts of up to 50 per cent with the ‘Shilla Stay’ promotion, and plenty of other offers, discounts, competitions and free passes.

A mobile Tourist Service Centre will also be in major shopping districts, including Myeongdong, Dongdaemun, Yongsan, and Hongdaeto, providing free interpreting services, visitor information, and free Wi-Fi.
