Set on the ground floor of Trump SoHo, with its sophisticated, yet intimate candle-lit interiors, Koi Soho sings style from the time you enter until you leave, appetite truly sated. The menu is Japanese fusion with some traditional dishes and a signature twist. Our night of dining opulence kicked off with a cocktail from the extensive menu. The Koi Diablo was my choice, Tanteo Jalapeno Tequila with Muddled Cucumber and Lime Juice, while my companion opted for the Moon Blossom – Absolute Acai, Lychee Puree and Sparkling Sake. We started with sushi for appetizers, with the chefs here serving up deliciously fresh yellowtail, toro, octopus, snow crab as well as signature rolls. For the main course we were in heaven with our choices of Miso-Bronzed black cod with seasonal vegetables and Peppercorn Filet Mignon. Dessert didn’t disappoint either, and we couldn’t go past the perennial favourite – Flourless Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla ice cream, fresh berries and a butterscotch sauce.
