Inside the lavish six-star Crown Towers Sydney

Think grand, think opulent, think luxury. Crown Towers Sydney is opening ahead of schedule in December 2020. As Sydney’s tallest hotel it is bound to make a statement.

Standing at 275 metres high with a curved, glass panel façade, Crown Sydney in will literally glisten among its surrounds while reflecting the city’s iconic harbourside.

As the first six-star hotel to hit Sydney, costing $2.2 billion, Crown Towers in Barangaroo intends to set a new standard for Australian accommodation. It’s also expected to be on par with some of the best hotels in the world.

Rooms and amenities

The luxurious space will feature a total of 349 guest rooms including 20 villas and two ultra-lavish premium villas. Each room will come with a unique configuration, due to the concentric structure of the building. However, floor-to-ceiling windows will remain as the central focus.

The interiors – designed by world-renowned Meyer Davis – are a prime example of luxury meets coastal hues. Stand-out features include crystal light pieces, marble walls and floors, custom-made baths and bespoke fittings by Apaiser and Hansgrohe. Each room will also have touchscreen technology providing access to media streaming and 24-hour in-room dining and concierge services. Not to mention, the hotel’s grand chandelier that will hang almost eight metres long from level four down to level one. 

 “Nearly every element has been custom designed to create the most ambient experience possible,” said Will Meyer, co-founder at Meyer Davis design firm.

“When we visited Sydney for the first time we were taken aback by Sydney’s ethereal light and we wanted to select materials that reflected this. Our colour palette was silver, white, and grey highlighted by brass, polished black and nickel.” 

Adding to this life of luxury is an expansive infinity pool and terrace. Here, guests can lie on cabanas as they take in the panoramic harbour views. Alternatively, guests can enjoy the hotel’s private fitness studio, open-air tennis court or treat themselves to the Crown Spa Sydney.

The hotel is expected to become a globally recognised landmark admired largely by international tourists. Currently, Crown Sydney is only taking expressions of interest however lookout for official bookings opening before July 2020.
