The Hunter Valley is set to celebrate one of the region’s best-ever vintages at the 6th annual Hunter Valley Wine Festival, taking place at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley on Saturday 30 June.
Well-known Hunter Valley vigneron, Bruce Tyrell, says the 2018 vintage is “in the top five percent of the past 50 years of vintages” and follows the last three outstanding years.
Wines from more than 40 of the Hunter Valley’s best wineries will be available for tasting at the festival, in addition to beer and cider tastings, delicious local cuisine, and entertainment.
The family-friendly event will welcome children with complimentary entry, a jumping castle, train rides, carousel, mini car rides and face painting.
Once again, the Hunter Valley Wine Festival will support the local Rural Fire Service, with fundraising efforts taking place on the day.
Crowne Plaza is offering a special accommodation packages for the festival, including accommodation, full buffet breakfast at Redsalt restaurant, five tasting vouchers and a complimentary tasting glass.

The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest wine region renowned for its Semillon, Chardonnay, Riesling and Shiraz, along with emerging wines, and organic and biodynamic wines.
