Discover grizzlies and wolves in Montana
The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center (GWDC) is a wildlife park and educational facility located in West Yellowstone, Montana.
The centre, open all-year round, offers a chance to experience the world of the grizzly bears and grey wolves that act as ambassadors for their wild counterparts because they, along with all the other animals at the GWDC, are unable to survive in the wild.
The chance to see grizzly bears up close and in complete safety, is incredible. All the bears at the centre were either nuisance bears or orphaned cubs of a nuisance bear.
The centre is also home to six Yellowstone wolves that live in three different packs. You can watch how the wolves behave up close through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the Naturalist Cabin, located between two of the center’s wolf habitats.
Visitors can also see raptors and browse through a fascinating exhibition about bears in the museum. You can help the centre by adopting an animal, or just make a donation.
Better still, visit the centre and explore the other delights Yellowstone offers.
