On a recent visit to Brisbane, I was lucky enough to stay at the Gambaro Hotel, the city’s only luxury hotel accommodation in Caxton St, Paddington, a stone’s throw from Suncorp Stadium.
Designed by famous hotel designers, Hirsch Bedner, the Gambaro offers 68 rooms with nine different room types, including five premium suites and two, two-bedroom Signature Suites.
All of the rooms feature bespoke furniture and fittings, warm tones and beautiful beds from Sealy’s Exquisite Collection – the first hotel in Australia to have them – as well as the latest in-room technology.
While admiring the lavish bathroom in my Paddington Deluxe room, I am pleased to see amenities from Appelles. Gambaro was the first hotel to feature Appelles Black Label Collection, cruelty-free natural skin and haircare products with environmentally friendly and recyclable packaging. Step out of your room and discover an iconic Brisbane dining experience at the hotel established by the Gambaro family in 1953.
Gambaro Restaurant is a multi-award winning restaurant boasting fine seafood from succulent mudcrab to green lobster straight from the tank, Moreton Bay bugs plus added delicacies such as Tasmanian oysters.
If you aren’t a seafood lover, head to Gambaro’s Black Hide Steakhouse Restaurant across the road, which offers you one of the best beef ranges of any restaurant in Brisbane including world-class Stanbroke Beef, one of Australia’s most celebrated organic beef producers. When it comes to style, service and attention to detail, the Gambaro is stunning on all fronts, setting the bar second to none.
