MSC Cruises is set to take family-friendly cruise holidays to the next level with the launch of its newest, biggest and smartest ship to date, MSC Meraviglia.
Following her christening on 3 June, MSC Meraviglia will sail the Mediterranean, visiting iconic destinations in ultra-contemporary style, with a range of family-friendly facilities on board.
The Super Amusement Park will feature an exciting range of entertainment options, including a multi-purpose sports arena with sweeping sea views that converts to a dance space at night, a full-length bowling alley, two F1 Simulators and a Flight Simulator, 5D Cinema, and plenty of fun arcade games.
On the top deck, the Polar Aqua Park will offer three thrilling water slides, a splash pool and champagne flute slide, and a Himalayan Bridge, which is suspended 80 metres above the sea, allowing the brave to cross one side of the ship to the other.
A high-tech media space on deck 7 operates as a TV studio, comedy club, karaoke bar and live music venue, with games, quizzes and talent contests streamed live around the ship and shown on the giant screen overlooking the Atmosphere pool.
The 96-metre Promenade features shops, bars and restaurants and at 80 metres long, has the longest LED screen at sea, displaying visuals and s[special effects 24 hours a day.
In addition to 20 bars and lounges and 12 casual and fine-dining venues throughout the ship, one of the standout eateries along the Promenade is the Jean-Philippe Maury chocolate atelier, where guests can watch chocolatiers at work and sample sweet treats.
Specialty restaurants include Ristorante Italiano, serving traditional Italian dishes and offering an exclusive Chef’s Table offers a food-and-wine experience, Kaito Teppanyaki dishing up fresh, authentic Japanese cuisine, and modern steakhouse Butcher’s Cut featuring an open-fronted kitchen where guests can watch specialist chefs work.
Offering more choice and flexibility, MSC Cruises is also introducing Flexi Dining – a new dining style offering guests the option to pre-select their preferred time slot for evening dining, in addition to the classic cruise dining experience of two sittings each evening.
