Istanbul is set to welcome a stunning new addition to its city skyline, with the highly anticipated opening of Fairmont Quasar Istanbul in January 2017.
As the first hotel for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Turkey, Fairmont Quasar will be a landmark hotel for the company, blending Istanbul’s modern sophistication together with the city’s unique lineage and history.
“Fairmont Quasar Istanbul will bring the company’s history of hospitality to the heart of one of the world’s most compelling cities,” AccorHotels Luxury Brands chief executive officer Chris Cahill says.
“We plan to become an intrinsic part of Istanbul’s dynamic future, with timeless style, unrivalled service and an incredibly personal experience for every guest, whether travelling for business or leisure.”
Overlooking the Bosphorus, the hotel is situated in the vibrant Mecidiyeköy district within walking distance of the city’s most significant cultural landmarks including Taksim Square, the Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque, as well as the financial district, blending old world urban culture with new world industrial flair and offering a range of authentic experiences.
Designed to be a hub of style, culture and comfort, the hotel will have 209 spaciously-appointed guestrooms, including 25 suites, featuring all the mod-cons and panoramic views overlooking the Bosphorus or the city skyline. Luxury reaches a new level in The Royal Suite, while Fairmont Gold rooms offer exclusive service, luxury and overall experience.
Taking inspiration from it’s surrounding location, carefully considered design touches are seen everywhere from the blue leather-tufted headboards reminiscent of the Bosphorus, to the traditional Turkish hammam-style ensuite showers.
A range of world-class dining will be on offer, such as the Turkish-style “ocakbaşı” grill and live mezze kitchen, with a spice library and bar, and Ukiyo, an Asian-inspired restaurant situated on the terrace overlooking the Bosphorus for the ultimate in alfresco dining, to name just a couple.
For those seeking the ultimate in relaxation, the Willow Stream Spa boasts nine treatment rooms, a traditional hammam, indoor pool, yoga room, and state-of-the-art gym.
Access from Istanbul’s two airports is easy and efficient, while guests travelling on a tight schedule have access to a private helipad.
