Voyages range from 6 to 13 days exploring Alaska aboard one of the three vessels including the newly built National Geographic Quest ship who will commence voyages in June 2017. The inaugural voyage will be the 12-night ‘Treasures of the Inside Passage: Alaska & British Columbia itinerary’, followed by the popular 7-night ‘Exploring Alaska’s Coastal Wilderness’ voyage.
The new vessel will feature 50 cabins, 22 with balconies, and eight that can be configured into four adjoining cabins for families. All public spaces are designed for maximum viewing.
National Geographic Quest will feature a fleet of 24 sea kayaks, paddle boards, and a specially designed landing craft; a fully equipped fitness centre and a Wellness spa; Remotely Operated Vehicle, hydrophone, splashcam, underwater video camera, crow’s nest remote-controlled camera, video microscope and snorkelling gear for all guests.
New voyages in 2017 include ‘Wild Alaska Escape’, an active and exciting 6-day journey aboard National Geographic Sea Bird that showcases Alaska’s iconic wildlife and epic landscapes in the compact timeframe of one week. Guests can take hikes on world-class trails through forests, kayak long routes deep into glacially carved fjords, and raft to an ancient Alaska village.
‘Big Picture Alaska’ itinerary aboard National Geographic Sea Bird, guests will immerse themselves in an 11-day photo expedition through Alaska’s famed Inside Passage. With a focus on photography in the fjords and channels of Southeast Alaska this experiences the perfect mix of small-town life and the grand expanse of wild landscapes.
