Creators of luxury, bespoke and experiential tours for more than 50 years, Butterfield & Robinson will be running an unforgettable journey through some of South East Asia’s greatest destinations.
Running from 5 to 12 November, the eight-day, seven-night Vietnam and Laos Biking tour combines adventure and cultural immersion through incredible accommodations, unprecedented insider access, and exceptional food and wine.
Commencing in Vietnam’s picturesque Ha Long Bay, famous for its limestone islands which rise out of the water and floating villages, travellers will then head west by private seaplane to Ninh Binh, where they’ll cycle for two days through tropical countryside.
The tour will conclude in Laos, where guests will be welcomed into Laos with a traditional and intimate Baci ceremony, complete with music and dancing, before going on to enjoy this UNESCO protected city’s colonial architecture, Buddhist legacy and miles of bike riding along the Mekong River.
The option to extend the journey through to Cambodia is also possible, where travellers can explore Siem Reap’s ancient Khmer temples of Angkor Wat and interact with the friendly and hospitable locals.
In Ha Long Bay, guests will stay at Indochina Sails 1, overlooking the spectacular limestone cliff bay, Emeralda Resort in Ninh Binh nestled into a tropical forest in Van Long Nature Reserve, and Sofitel Luang Prabang, boasting timeless French elegance blended with local art and culture.
The guided tour includes all breakfasts, lunches and five dinners, including wine, all special events, private tours, guest experts, entrance fees, bicycle and helmet, detailed maps and route suggestions, all transportation including baggage, all gratuities and all accommodation.
