Emirates flying strong with service expansions

Emirates brings daily A380 service to Sao Paulo

Emirates will commence operations of the first ever scheduled commercial Airbus A380 flight to South America when it upgrades its Dubai to Sao Paulo service on 26 March, 2017.

The service will replace the existing 777-300ER currently used on the route.

The upgrade marks the airline’s 10th year of operations in Brazil, which began with daily flights between Dubai and Sao Paulo in October 2017, when Emirates had already made history becoming the first airline to connect the Middle East and South American with a non-stop direct flight.

The switch to the A380 comes in response to growing demand for the route, and will offer an additional 959 seats per week in each direction as well as a more comfortable and peaceful journey thanks to the spacious cabins in the world’s quietest long-range jet.

The three-class aircraft offers a total of 491 seats, with 14 private suites in First Class, 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class, and 401 seats in the spacious Economy Class cabin. Renowned for its First Class Private Suites and Shower Spas, the A380 also boasts an Onboard Lounge and bar for First and Business Class passengers to socialise whilst enjoying a selection of canapés and beverages.

WiFi and Emirates’ multi-award winning ‘ice’ Digital Widescreen with more than 2,600 channels of movies, TV programs, music and podcasts is available to all passengers throughout the flight.

Commencing 26 March, flight EK261 will leave Dubai every day at 08:35 and arrive in Sao Paulo at 16:30. The return flight, EK262, will depart Sao Paulo at 01:25 and land in Dubai at 22:55.

Emirates reinstates third daily flight between Dubai and Rome

In related news, Emirates will reinstate its third daily flight from Dubai to Rome as of 26 March 2017, offering Australian travellers more choices and enhanced connectivity for flights to Dubai and beyond.

Flight EK99 will depart Dubai at 03:20 and arrive in Rome at 07:25, with return service flight EK100, departing Rome at 11:30 and arriving in Dubai at 19:20.

Emirates to launch daily flights to Croatia

The airline will also further expand its European network with the introduction of a daily flight from Dubai to Croatia’s capital city Zagreb, from 1 June 2017, allowing for a seamless connection for Australian travellers flying on Emirates from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

Serviced by an Emirates Boeing 777-300 aircraft, it will be the only wide-body service operating from Zagreb.

With Zagreb being a city steeped in culture and history, the service opens a whole new exciting region for Emirates’ travellers to explore. Located in the northwest of the country, the capital city boasts charming pavement cafes and restaurants to be enjoyed during the spring and summer months, and offers easy access to the surrounding mountains and renowned national parks. During winter, the ski resort of Sljeme on Medvednica mountain is just twenty minutes by car, providing a great alternative to the busy Alpine slopes.

On Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, the picturesque town of Split and the exclusive islands of Hvar and Brac provide an enviable holiday destination, while the historic UNESCO heritage centre of Dubrovnik delights visitors with its baroque cathedral and distinctive walled Old Town.
