Calling all bubbles fans! This November, Tasmania will once again host Effervescence, the state’s annual sparkling wine festival. Celebrating all things bubbles and sparkling, Effervescence Tasmania has a program stacked with events, experiences and masterclasses.
Running from 1 – 17 November, the festival will span the state from Hobart to Launceston, Barnbougle to Bruny Island, with 12 Tasmania-based sparkling wine houses showcasing their ranges.
“Tasmania’s conditions are perfect for growing sparkling wine varietals. Effervescence is a great opportunity to showcase the depth of the sparkling wines coming from the state and demonstrate to the consumer that Tasmania really is on par with Champagne in terms of premium wine production.” said event organiser and founder David Milne.
This year, many events at the festival will also feature a tourism slant too. Hosted by the Tasmanian Walking Company, one such event will give guests the opportunity to experience some of the state’s best hiking tracks by day, and in the evening, enjoy a degustation menu of premium produce and sparkling wine.
Other events at Effervescence Tasmania include beginner’s masterclasses, cocktail parties, glamping and much more.
