New York’s thrilling new sky deck Edge is ready for bookings

Hudson Yards Experiences have announced that tickets are now on sale to their latest new attraction, Edge, which opens to the public on March 11, 2020.

Giving the iconic Empire State Building a run for its money, Edge at Hudson Yards is the newest outdoor sky deck to hit New York City and one to add straight to the top of your Big Apple bucket list.

Rising over 1,100 feet in the air, Edge is the tallest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere with a triangular viewing platform that extends out 80 feet from the 100th floor of the 30 Hudson Yards skyscraper on Manhattan’s West Side.

Built with angled glass walls that lean outward over the city and even a glass floor for those brave enough, Edge offers unprecedented and expansive panoramic views of The City, Western New Jersey and New York.

“You’ve never experienced New York like this before,” said Jason Horkin, Executive Director of Hudson Yards Experiences.

“Stepping onto Edge is like walking out into the sky. The entire experience is designed to inspire visitors and ignite a new passion for New York City with multiple, built-in thrill elements that ensure Edge becomes a must-see local attraction and a top spot on every traveller’s bucket list.”

To make the most of the experience, a champagne bar is located on the 100th floor offering beverages and light bites to enjoy either inside or outside on the deck. Alternatively, visitors have the option to climb the ‘skyline steps’ to the 101st floor where Peak, a restaurant, cafe, bar and event space will serve lunch and dinner for a one-of-a-kind dining and social experience.

Edge will be open seven days a week year-round from 8:00 AM to midnight. Tickets cost $36 to $38 for adults and $31 to $33 for kids, with discounts for those who purchase their tickets online. For New York City residents, the adult price is even cheaper at $34, while special rates are also available for seniors and active and retired members of the U.S. military groups.
