Modern Australian restaurant Drake Eatery is celebrating three years in Bondi with a series of Duck and Pinot nights throughout June and July.
Held every Tuesday evening from 5 June – 31 July, Drake Eatery’s weekly duck special and glass of red is the ultimate comfort food combination on those cold, wintery Bondi Beach nights.
Owner and chef Ian Oakes will showcase his favourite protein, duck, beautifully paired back with a handpicked selection of Pinot Noir from some of Australia’s top winemakers, as the restaurant becomes an indulgent winter hideaway.
“The idea was born from my love of cooking, and eating, duck and the fact that the restaurant’s namesake is the male duck, a Drake,” chef Ian says.
Taking inspiration from across the globe, the menu-line up will feature one-off dishes such as crispy duck legs with blood orange and Szechuan salt, and decadent and hearty duck ragu.
“I’m excited to experiment with the ingredient, taking inspiration from techniques and flavours from around the world, and show its versatility – from ramen to ragu. Paired with a generous pouring of red… what better combination!”
Duck and Pinot nights are available every Tuesday evening until 31 July.
Located on the corner of Curlewis and Gould Streets, Bondi Beach, Drake Eatery celebrates seasonal, local and sustainable produce, offering a relaxed menu for brunch, lunch and dinner.
