De Beaurepaire Wines reopen with new cellar door experiences

After closing their cellar doors during COVID-19, the award-winning De Beaurepaire Wines in Rylstone, New South Wales, has reopened in style, showcasing a new-look cellar door and premium tasting experiences.

The unique cellar door, located within two 170-year old converted stables that are about a three-hour drive from Sydney, now offers private seating areas for intimate and knowledgeable tasting experiences led by a member of the de Beaurepaire family.

The De Beaurepaire brand is renowned for producing single-vineyard French-style wines which guests can sample from Wednesday to Sunday between 11am and 5pm. Their range, featuring 15 award-winning wines, combines traditional and modern winemaking techniques to create a wine that is truly one of a kind and offered in Australia’s top restaurants and premium hotels.

Outside on the sprawling lawns dotted with statues by local artists, guests can enjoy platters of cheese and charcuterie while overlooking more than 100,000 vines.

If you’re after something a little more immersive, the vineyard has also launched two showcase wine tours.

The Vigneron Experience offers guests the opportunity to join owners Richard & Amanda de Beaurepaire on a guided vineyard walk to explore where their grapes are grown and discuss how terroir drives their wine styles. Guests then enjoy a private wine experience which showcases the de Beaurepaire family’s French-style wines and explores how their ‘Burgundian’ terroir expresses itself in their award-winning wines.

“The French believe that 90% of French wine is determined by what happens in the vineyard. This is why we enjoy sharing the Vigneron Experience with our guests – it showcases De Beaurepaire Wines as a whole, from grape to glass” said Richard de Beaurepaire.
