Lux* Resorts & Hotels has launched a five-day guided tour along the ancient trails of the 13th century Old Tea Horse Road in China. The tour follows the footsteps of the tea-carrying caravans of the past through spectacular scenery, from high mountains to deep gorges that link the Naxi and Tibetan cultures of China’s southwest.
The tour begins in Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visits Zhonghe, crosses Tiger Leaping Gorge en route to Benzilan and visits the Dongzhulin monastery. Accommodation is the Lux* Tea Horse Road properties in Lijiang and Benzilan.
