Manoir de Ban, located in Vevey along the Swiss Riviera, was the former private family residence of Charlie Chaplin for the last 25 years of his life. The run down manor has been transformed into an elegant world-class venue with reception areas, a restaurant, boutique and terrace, an all-new Hollywood style studio and an expansive interactive exhibition and park covering more than 60,000m².
Chaplin’s World by Grévin will give visitors insight into the professional and personal life of the man himself, who was captivated by the pristine lake setting and mountainous backdrop. Throughout the tour, visitors will have the chance to immerse themselves in sets from iconic films, visit an editing room and a movie theatre where a synopsis of the life and work of the filmmaker will screen.
Visitors will also encounter more than 30 wax figures of the man as well as other 20th century celebrities who played major roles in boosting his work and career. Chaplin’s World is a much celebrated addition to the already many attractions along the Riviera including Montreux, home of the world-famous Montreux Jazz Festival, Chillon Castle and the Olympic Museum.
