Spanning nearly 12,500 square metres with more than 90 treatment rooms and extensive facilities, I’ve just entered Las Vegas’s biggest spa.
Accessible via The Venetian and The Palazzo hotels, it’s a little overwhelming at first, but a welcoming staff member shows me around before taking me to the locker room, fully equipped with everything from skincare and body products to hairdryers and hair ties.
I shower and change into a plush robe and slippers, glad I arrived an hour early to experience the incredible facilities on offer, especially ‘Aquavana’. This hydrothermal area features a HydroSpa whirlpool, steam room, sauna, experiential rain showers, herbal laconium and Igloo.
To reap the most benefits, I alternate between the hot and cold experiences to promote circulation, detoxification and prepare my skin for treatment. There are separate male and female Aquavana areas and I hope my partner is enjoying it as much as I am before we meet up in the co-ed area.
We hang out in the Salt Grotto, breathing in the purifying salty air, and relax in the Wave Room under a canopy glistening with the hypnotic reflection of water ripples, before heading to the couples treatment room. The signature full-body Canyon Ranch massage soothes our tight muscles for a deeply relaxing 50 minutes.
Afterwards, I enjoy the relaxation lounge with iced tea, healthy treats and a magazine before dozing off in a comfy chaise.
