Bigger and brighter than ever before, Enlighten Festival is back and ready to illuminate Canberra for the eighth year in a row.
Presented by Singapore Airlines, Enlighten Festival 2018 will take place 2 – 18 March, during which time Canberra will transform into a hive of activity with two new events precincts – Canberra city and the Australian National University (ANU).
During the festival, Canberra will feature the Enlighten Illuminations – stunning large-scale architectural projections and installations that will alter the look and feel of some of the capital’s most loved and iconic buildings, including the Museum of Australian Democracy, the National Portrait Gallery, National Library of Australia, and Questacon – The National Science and Technology Centre.
Whilst the Parliamentary Triangle will become a vibrant canvas showcasing Australian talent, art installation and live music, the ANU campus will offer five thrilling nights with fire-side chats, resonant projections and a special Saturday night market.
Also, the festival has been extended to include some of Canberra’s most popular autumn events – the Canberra Balloon Spectacular, Symphony in the Park, Lights! Canberra! Action! Canberra Day and Hit 104.7 Skyfire.
Foodies will enjoy the bustling Enlighten Night Noodle Market on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin as well as a dizzying variety of street food in Enlighten Ally.
Tickets are on sale for an array of exclusive after – dark ticketed events at the National Gallery of Australia, National Film and Sound Archives, National Zoo and Aquarium, the Botanic Gardens, Australian Parliament House, National Arboretum Canberra, the Royal Australian Mint, National Archives and more.
