Sleepy little Cafayate is the hotbed of northern wine making in Argentina, while the town itself is a beautiful place to shop for local indigenous art, crafts, spirits, beer, wine, and more. The Cafayate Artesanale Market is open daily, but really comes to life on weekends, when vendors pour in from the countryside to showcase their wares to locals and the large expatriate population.
