Butterfield & Robinson launch new Australian adventures

Premium active travel company Butterfield & Robinson has unveiled four brand new Australian adventure trips designed to immerse guests into Australia’s rich colonial history, stunning scenery, outstanding food and wine, and relaxed culture.

The company’s new offerings mark the reintroduction of Australian to its portfolio, and travellers can now explore the untouched beauty of Tasmania, venture into the quintessential Aussie experience in the South Australian Outback, or enjoy the thriving and beautiful harbour city of Sydney.

The truly adventurous can also take a trip in all three destinations for the ultimate adventure through one of the world’s most diverse continents.

“With its sun-bronzed beaches, immense red deserts and vast green rainforests, Australia is a world of contrasting and unforgettable experiences,” Butterfield & Robinson’s president and chief executive officer Norman Howe says.

“It is these experiences that form the foundations of our new trips, during which guests will be immersed in the local culture and encouraged to connect with their surroundings, and we hope guests will go home with lasting memories which will stay with them forever.”

Butterfield & Robinson’s new Australian trips include:

Tasmania Walking

Rich in colonial history, spectacular scenery at every turn and abundant with incredible food and wine, the island state of Tasmania is one of Australia’s most precious jewels. Guests will have plenty of opportunity to sample local produce, explore the penal history and experience the wildlife on this adventure into the Australian bush. The eight-day tour includes a four-day walking journey over beautiful Maria Island, uncovering Tasmania’s wilder side whilst also learning about the island’s history.

South Australia Expedition

The state of South Australia boasts nearly all of the quintessential elements Australia is known for. This seven-day tour allows you to experience endless Outback roads, witness the haunting Flinders Ranges, and cycle through the rolling hills and valleys of some of Australia’s most famous wine regions, before hopping on over to Kangaroo Island to get up close and personal with some of Australia’s most iconic land and marine animals.

Sydney Active Experience

The white sails of the Sydney Opera House and the graceful curve of the Sydney Harbour Bridge will be the backdrop to this four-day trip, in the city which many agree is amongst the world’s most beautiful. Guests will enjoy panoramic harbour views from their stylish Park Hyatt Sydney accommodation, nestled on the shores of Circular Quay. From here, they will explore the city in style, including a private two-hour cruise of Sydney Harbour and a spectacular flight over the city to the sprawling fingers of the Pittwater and Hawkesbury River waterways.

Sydney Family Adventure

Thoughtfully crafted for families looking to explore Sydney and surrounding areas, this four-day itinerary visits the stunning Blue Mountains, hits the waves at Bondi Beach with a private surf lesson on those famous breaks, pedals past the Opera House and over the Sydney Harbour Bridge on a private cycling tour, and spends the day learning about Australia’s iconic wildlife on a behind-the-scenes tour at Taronga Zoo.
