American golf star Brandt Snedeker will headline the Fiji International at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course, when it runs from 6 to 9 October.
The World Number 23 and eight-time winner on the PGA TOUR, Snedeker’s most recent victory came in February this year when he played in America, and he is eager to add another title to his name when he competes in Fiji for the first time.
Speaking of the upcoming tour, Snedeker comments: “I enjoy competing all over the world but this will be my first time playing a golf tournament in Fiji and I will try not to get too distracted by Fiji’s beauty as I would love to win another golf tournament this year.”
Fiji International 2015 champion, Matt Kuchar’s positive endorsement of Fiji has helped earn the golf tournament a lucrative reputation amongst some of the best golfers in the world.
“Matt returned from the Fiji International and told me all about the beauty and challenge of the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course, and was impressed by the friendly people and fun things to do away from the golf course, so I am also bringing my family – what could be better than combining a family holiday with winning a European Tour tournament?”
The Fiji International now co-sanctioned by the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia and the European Tour, and Snedeker is the first of a strong line up of players expected to confirm their participation.
