The award-winning AKARYN Hotel Group has announced it will be opening The President by AKARYN, a boutique luxury resort in the heart of Vientiane, Laos, in the third quarter of 2016.
Located in the “Walled City of Sandalwood”, known for its French colonial architecture and Buddhist temples, the resort was originally built for the Laotians as a “gift” by the Chinese government and sits between the House of Parliament, the Presidential Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
Blending original Laotian design with colonial influence to reflect the heritage of Laos, the resort features a calming colour palette and elegant fittings, providing guests with a sanctuary from the city outside.
Featuring 30 spacious rooms, including two grand Presidential Suites with a 24-hour private butler service, The President by AKARYN will also offer seven fine dining options, swimming pool and tropical gardens, a daily high tea service by internationally-renowned pastry chefs, an impressive ballroom for up to 1,000 guests, and a private member’s club, complete with cigar lounge, humidor and whisky cellar.
Meanwhile, the Ayurah Wellness Centre will combine both Eastern and Western philosophies to provide treatments and bespoke programmes focusing on weight optimisation, anti-aging, mind balance and detoxification.
