A new attraction has opened in Bordeaux, France, dedicated to the heritage of wine. La Cité du Vin is a unique cultural centre offering a spectacular journey around the world, throughout the ages, across countless cultures and civilisations. The La Cité du Vin building is owned by the city of Bordeaux and is a striking architectural beauty with 10 levels – from toroid to the 55 metre-tower – with the 35-metre-high belvedere a unique way to taste the wines of the world with a panoramic view of Bordeaux and the surrounding area. With an audio tour in eight languages, temporary exhibitions and works of art from the greatest museums across the globe on show, the wine museum will require a visit of a couple of hours at least.
