Following an extensive and full refurbishment, Belmond La Résidence d’Angkor in Cambodia has reopened as an all-suite hotel featuring luxurious, newly designed interiors, contemporary Cambodian art pieces, landscaped gardens and stylishly-appointed new rooms, restaurants and bars.
Located on the banks of Siem Reap River less than 10 minutes from the iconic Angkor Wat temple, this upscale hotel oozes comfort and style, inspired by the classical Khmer era, featuring locally hand-woven colourful silks, traditionally crafted hard wood furnishings and intricate ironmongery created by local artisans.
New accommodations include a Deluxe Poolside Suite with large alfresco terrace overlooking the tropical gardens which surround the saltwater swimming pool, as well as Poolside Junior Suites, Garden Junior Suites, Deluxe Studio Suites and Junior Suites.
The fine dining restaurant, Spice Circle, features an all-new alfresco dining space with water feature, and serves traditional Cambodian and Khmer cuisine and pop-up tuk tuk food displays. Ember restaurant shows off the skills and cooking theatrics with a show kitchen and pizza oven, and Martini Lounge offers expertly crafted cocktails which can be enjoyed with a selection of tapas.
