Fancy staying in a beer hotel? The UK has its very own Doghouse Hotel, created by Scotland brewers BrewDog Brewery.
This hotel is a beer-lovers dream. Think in-room beer taps, minibars filled with BrewDog favourites and fully-stocked fridges in the shower. Because, you know, who can say no to a shower beer?
No stranger to beer
BrewDog has tried and tasted beer hotel success before. The company owns The Kennels, a mini-hotel dedicated to beer in Aberdeen, Scotland. It also operates a beer hotel in Ohio, USA.
BrewDog also launched a carbon-negative beer hotel in Manchester. It features 18 bespoke, sustainable hotel rooms and a rooftop bar with an urban forest.
Staying true to its other hotels, it features craft beer taps and shower fridges in all rooms.
What can I find in a beer hotel?
Guests can find the beer-themed hotel on Market Street in Edinburgh.
The company renovated a former Victorian schoolhouse with 21 apartment-style hotel rooms and a two-storey commercial space that is home to a bar, restaurant and outdoor terrace.
Expect industrial piping, metal and leather, all wrapped in the aroma’s of warm beer.
The BrewDog Brewery brand
James Watt and his friend Martin founded Brewdog in 2007. It is now the UK’s leading craft beer brewer.
The company has expanded its empire to the US and Australia in recent years. You can find a Brewdog brewery in Brisbane.
