Hospitality group Salt Meats Cheese has opened its first bar in Sydney’s prime tourist destination, Circular Quay, overlooking the harbour. With a modern and stylish design featuring lush greenery and colourful furniture, Bar Ombré is sure to become a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike.
Salt Meats Cheese is renowned for its gourmet Italian produce, so naturally, Bar Ombré’s food menu is completely mouthwatering. Think fried calamari with crumbed zucchini, pickled chilli and aioli; San Daniele prosciutto and burrata with grilled eggplant, basil and rocket pesto; marinated white anchovies with fresh tomato, herbs and breadcrumbs; or opt for the Ombré Antipasto which features burrata, salumi, semi-hard cheese and pickles, as well as extra virgin olive oil topped wood baked focaccia.
Drinks are equally as tempting, with a summer-inspired cocktail list full of classics and bespoke creations. The refreshing ‘Forget Me Not’ – with gin, lychee liqueur, St Germain, lime juice, egg whites and plum bitters – sounds ideal for an afternoon on the rooftop. ‘Smokin’ Nights’ – with Averna Amaro, mezcal, Angostura bitters, vanilla syrup, cream and cinnamon – seems like the best way to warm up on a crisp winter evening. There will also be a range of Italian wines available, as well as a selection of modern biodynamic, organic and vegan drops.
Check out Bar Ombré before heading to Vivid Sydney this year.
