One of the world’s largest yoga festivals, BaliSpirit Festival, will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2017, promising a bigger, more accessible and more exciting event than the previous ones.
A global celebration of yoga, dance and world music, the all-ages festival will take place 19 to 26 March in the beautiful town of Ubud, in Bali. The exciting program features yoga for all levels of experience, dance and movement workshops, Healing Huts and healing workshops led by renowned healers, meditation, a variety of seminars, markets, and a fantastic line up of music and entertainment.
The new extended programme also includes five days of group wellness classes, an extra community day and seven nights of music programme, making it the longest yoga festival in South East Asia.
Located on the beautiful island of Bali, BaliSpirit festival will take place across two unique outdoor locations. The day time venue will be at Bhanuswari Resort, which is located just 30 minutes’ drive to the East of central Ubud and surrounded by lush green rice fields with a blessed river flowing below, while the night time festivities will take place in central Ubud at ARMA, a concert venue set amidst sacred trees, rice fields, and lush foliage. A shuttle bus will be available to transport festival goers between the two venues.
Summoning yoga lovers, dancers, musicians and spirituality seekers from all over the world, the festival aims to awaken, inspire and nourish each individual’s potential for positive change within.
Through beneficial and inspirational traditions of Yoga, Dance, and Music, the BaliSpirit Festival illustrates the Balinese Hindu concept of Tri Hita Karana: living in harmony with our spiritual, social, and natural environments.
The founders of the BaliSpirit Festival provide support to local charities, with a special emphasis on children’s programs, multicultural education and performance, healthcare, HIV and AIDS awareness, and environmental conservation in Bali and greater Indonesia.
