Back-Roads Touring launches into Asia

Small group touring expert Back-Roads Touring has announced its expansion into Asia, with eight new tours for 2018 across Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

The new trips focus on exploring the more hidden parts of each destination, featuring delicious culinary experiences, intriguing ancient temples and unique local experiences.

“We know mature travellers have an interest in exploring South-East Asia in a small group setting, but in the past there have been few opportunities to do so with a company they know and trust,” Back-Roads Touring Australia and New Zealand country manager Dennis Basham says.

“Our tours provide the perfect combination of guided introductions to experiences and sites along with opportunities to explore the destination at leisure.”

The new itineraries include Bangkok & The River Kwai, Temples of Thailand and Cambodia, Wonders of Thailand, Spirit of Cambodia, Hanoi & Halong Highlights, Vietnam Adventure, Vietnam and Cambodia Discovery and Flavours of Vietnam.

Special experiences include getting up close to rescued elephants in a rehabilitation facility in Chiang Mai, exploring world-renowned religious monument Angkor Wat, and enjoying a traditional lunch in Vietnam with Buddhist nuns.
