Fresh from her extensive multi-million-dollar revitalisation, Azamara Journey made her way into Australian waters for the first time yesterday, arriving in Sydney Harbour in the early morning hours, followed by a visit into Melbourne this morning. She will continue her journey at 9pm tonight when she sets sail for a 16-night voyage of New Zealand.
Azamara Club Cruises’ second luxury ship underwent a significant redesign and upgrade in 2016, which enlisted the work of the world’s leading designers to create her brand new elegant and sophisticated design.
“Azamara Journey is a completely new ship compared to her sister Azamara Quest, and she not only looks and feels incredible, but also offers all the modern amenities our discerning travellers expect,” Azamara Club Cruises Australia & NZ managing director Adam Armstrong says.
The boutique cruise liner’s US$25 million bow-to-stern overhaul has seen her 345 suites and staterooms undergo an extensive redesign, which now boast all-new modern décor, new technologies and fresh services and amenities for guests.
Luxuriously-appointed new Spa Suites, located adjacent to the refreshed Sanctum Spa, have been added, offering exclusive spa amenities, with bathrooms reminiscent of a mini spa with glass wall showers affording spectacular views, and outdoor soaking tubs overlooking the ocean.
In addition to completely reimagined public spaces and staterooms, additional new features include The Patio – an al fresco poolside dining area; The Living Room, a casual bar, dining and entertainment room, and faster WiFi to accommodate streaming.
Guests can enjoy Azamara’s unique destination immersive style of cruising, with late night and overnight stays in ports and an expanded land offering, allowing them to stay longer and experience more.
