Aria x Krug team up for sensory dining experience

If you’re after a new and unique culinary experience, look no further. This month, iconic Sydney restaurant Aria and premium champagne house Krug are teaming up to create a limited-edition, multi-sensory dining experience. The experience is based on the idea that what we hear affects what we taste. The way it works is that guests will receive a glass of Krug Champagne, two custom canapes and be loaned a pair of Bang & Olufsen headphones. Over five minutes, the headphones will play a specially curated Aria x Krug playlist that’s designed to elevate and alter each mouthful.

Created by Aria’s Executive Chef Joel Bickford, the canapes of lamb with smoked egg and saltbush, and potato with smoked roe and caviar, offer a balance of salty and savoury, crunchy and soft, mild and strong. The careful balance of flavours and textures have been designed in a way to best be influenced by the symphonic music, as well as to enhance the taste and effervescence of the champagne.

The unique Aria x Krug dining experience will be available for the entire month of September, and can be added to any a la carte booking for $100 per person.

October will also be a big month for Aria, as the harbour-side restaurant celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. A new eight-course tasting menu will be on offer throughout the month, featuring some of the restaurant’s most iconic dishes over the past two decades.
