Luxury river cruise company Aqua Expeditions will run a 14-day Safari Odyssey in Africa, in October this year.
Co-hosted by the company’s founder, Francesco Galli Zugaro, and renowned safari guide Howard Saunders, founder of the Shackleton and Selous Society, the adventure will take up to 10 guests into the African wilderness.
Guests will experience remote regions as they travel through Namibia, Congo and Uganda, and will explore the iconic Congo River and the White Nile.
Tour highlights will include seeing gorillas in the Republic of Congo, and exploring Murchison Falls National Park and the source of the Nile in Uganda. For active travellers, a few days of cycling will also be available through Black Rhino country in Namibia, to help pioneer tourism in areas such as Odzala in the Congo.
