Free Spirit – two luxury stunning waterfront self-contained eco-Pods… the Blue Wren and Flying Duck. The Pods are set on eight acres of natural bushland with abundant wildlife, peace and tranquillity. The provide the perfect setting to take a break from everyday life, unwind and smell the air. With glorious views across Quarantine Bay, it’s hard to leave!

On arrival and delivered to your Pod is a delicious Bruny Organic Veggie Box. And it gets even better. You will also receive:

  • A delicious Snug BBQ pack sourced from a gourmet shop – The Snug Butchery. Providers of fine local produce eaten by many and loved by all!
  • A bottle of either regional Tasmanian wine or a bottle of warming Spiced-Mulled wine.
  • Island chocolates and ‘oversized’ marshmallows to toast sitting alongside your cosy outdoor fire pit. Grab your fluffy throw rug, sip a decadent Swiss hot chocolate and checkout the abundant wildlife hopping around. This IS bliss.

Things to do:

There’s plenty to do for any adventurous souls – try paddling around the calm waters in one of our two-person kayaks, or experience bushwalking and birdwatching around the 400 acre Quarantine Station State Reserve next door. A bird lovers paradise.

Have a go at fishing from a nearby jetty, from the beach or from your kayak. Everything included with rods and bait supplied. Fish? …sorry catch your own! Grab an oyster knife from your Pod & help yourselves to some fresh oysters from around the bay. Romantic!

The location allows easy travel times to many of the Island’s spectacular hiking trails, artisan cafes and surprising delights. The Pods are full of interesting books, maps and local suggestions for Bruny. Picnic baskets, rugs & thermos, it’s all here. Free Spirit is also secluded enough to feel far away from the everyday bustle of life.
