Air New Zealand upgrades Sydney, Rarotonga service

Air New Zealand has upgraded its aircraft to a 787-9 Dreamliner on the direct Sydney to Rarotonga service, making the flight to the Cook Islands more comfortable than ever before.

As of this week, travellers will be able to enjoy the aircraft’s award-winning interior products, such as the lie flat Business Premier beds and comfortable Premium Economy seats.

Customers can also book a row of three economy seats with customised footrests that raise to a horizontal position, creating a flat, flexible space to stretch out and relax, thanks to the airline’s unique Economy Skycouch, available on the route for the first time.

The Sydney to Rarotonga service operates once per week and is a six-hour flight, arriving in Rarotonga early in the morning for a full day ahead of exploring lagoons rich with marine life, and enjoying activities such as glass bottom boating, snorkelling, diving and much more.
