Leading travel and lifestyle group AccorHotels has announced six luxury and upscale hotel openings in the next three months.
The upcoming openings will include the expansion of the Sofitel and Pullman brands, which are affiliated to AccorHotels’ luxury and upscale collection together with Raffles Hotel, Fairmont, MGallery by Sofitel, Swissôtel and Grand Mercure.
“These developments build on 2016’s momentum, where AccorHotels added 86 hotels to our Asia Pacific network,” AccorHotels Asia Pacific chairman and chief executive officer Michael Issenberg says.
“Asia Pacific is really leading the world in terms of luxury and upscale demand and these six hotels are a strong signal of AccorHotels’ intention to keep building on our luxury credentials and expand in this sector.”
The six new openings are:
Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara, Malaysia
In the prestigious Damansara area, this five-star property will feature 312 exquisite rooms and suites, five restaurants and bar, an outdoor pool and signature So Spa and So Fit facilities.
Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara opened in August, combining French luxury with the latest deluxe design.
Sofitel Singapore City Centre, Singapore
Opening September 2017, Sofitel Singapore City Centre will offer 223 luxury rooms, Singapore’s first Nespresso Lounge and TWC Tea bar, a 30-meter outdoor swimming pool, and a green oasis for yoga classes and open-air performances.
Guests can also access the Virgin Active gym as well as a private So Fit gym, the Club Millesime executive lounge, and dining outlets in Singapore’s vibrant culinary scene.
Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, Australia
From October 2017, Darling Harbour will have a new landmark as Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour’s 28-storey glass façade lights up at night.
Guests will enjoy spectacular views over the Sydney CBD and harbour in a property that will host 590 rooms and suites that combine trendsetting French aesthetics with ultra-contemporary design.
Situated alongside the new International Convention Centre, this five-star hotel will feature a stunning infinity swimming pool, Sydney’s most spectacular Champagne bar, a Club Millesime executive lounge, several restaurants and bars and easy access to Sydney’s best attractions.
Pullman Brisbane Airport, Australia
Set to open in October, this upscale airport hotel will be a welcome addition to the Brisbane Airport precinct for business and leisure travellers alike.
Pullman Brisbane Airport will feature 132 rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, 24-hour reception and room service, massage services and gymnasium.
Sofitel Wellington, New Zealand
Located close to the city’s best entertainment and attractions, this luxury boutique hotel will feature 129 guest rooms with panoramic views of the surrounding hillsides and Botanical Gardens when it relaunches in October.
Sofitel Wellington is themed around the Wellington and Luxembourg Gardens and facilities include The Green Room, which offers a relaxed and private atmosphere with a fire pit in a sheltered alfresco courtyard, rooms decorated in vintage gold and bronze tones, and the Jardin Grill on Bolton Street.
Pullman Shenyang, China
Pullman Shenyang will add 317 contemporary rooms (including 50 long-stay suites), a conference centre for up to 1,200 guests, gym, spa, heated indoor pool and six restaurants and bars to the heart of the celebrated old city of Shenyang in October.
Shenyang is a city rich in cultural and historic attractions, including the Shenyang Imperial Palace, which is considered by many to be second only to the Forbidden Palace in Beijing in terms of buildings of historic and cultural significance in China.
