A new luxury resort in Bali: Apurva Kempinksi Bali

The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a sprawling sanctuary, melding premium modern amenities and features with traditional Indonesian culture and identity. Found in the Nusa Dua area, the new resort boasts 475 generously-sized rooms, suites and private beachfront villas. It also offers six on-site restaurants, bars and lounges, an ocean-facing spa and fitness centre, 60-metre pool as well as a separate kids pool. The resort’s expansive Grand Ballroom also makes for a great option for weddings, events and business meetings.

The resort’s architect, Budiman Hendropurnomo of UK-based Denton Corker Marshall, found inspiration in Bali’s iconic rice paddies. The design follows the cascading manner of the paddies down the hillside, and the resort eventually flows to the idyllic Indian Ocean.

Interior designer Rudi Dodo of Trivium Design Group infused a unique personality into the Apurva Kempinski Bali. Details like intricate Javanese hand-carved gebyok partitions, the angkringan food cart in Selasar Deli, local fabrics and traditional Indonesian design touches offer a sense of place. In contrast, the clean lines, floor to ceiling windows and neutral palette of the rooms deliver a contemporary aesthetic that balances nicely with the local details.

Generously-sized rooms and a family club make this resort a great option for a family holiday. Multiple dining options means there’s something for everyone, while the Apurva Spa offers a decadent reprieve.

Only 15 minutes from the airport and minutes to the beach, the Apurva Kempinski Bali makes for a convenient and premium accommodation option in Bali.
